Rules Q&A
- Q: Does Matsu Yoshino Experienced gain a force bonus from his own trait?
A: No. Yoshino is not considered to be assigning to the same army as himself - this would require him to be two people at once. Jon Palmer, "(Legacy) Matsu Yoshino and his force bonus", 5 Jan 2015 - Q: Is Matsu Yoshino considered to be assigning to the same army as himself and thus gain a force bonus equal to his Personal Honor?
A: No. Personalities are not considered to be in an army with themselves, or in the same army as themselves, when those terms are used on older cards. Jon Palmer, "Legacy Matsu Yoshino Experienced", 8 Dec 2014 - Q: I know that the rule book says that Samurai and Courtiers can as a reaction to any action that would cause honor loss, commit seppuku to reduce the honor loss to 1, here's my question:
What if a dishonored person dies? Can he commit seppuku in response to his own death?
Say I had dishonored a guy (Matsu Yoshino), and then I dueled him (with Noritoshi)... when Yoshino dies, can he commit seppuku in response to his own death? I assume that he cannot, as the honor loss comes as an effect of a dishonored person dying, and the action that I targeted him with simply created a duel (one in which the dishonored Yoshino died).
Is this correct? ~KA
A: You are correct in that you cannot seppuku in response to death, as your personality is already dead by that point. Chris Fuchs, "Can You Seppuku in Response to Death?", 18 Sep 2007
