Rules Q&A
- Q: Just a few Ruling Questions :
1 - Is Miya Yemi ability Political? I should say no, but want to be sure
A: Ah! Thanks for helping find an omission on the Broken Blades rulesheet.
The answer is "yes". Backpedaling to the Dark Allies rulebook for a moment (which has the complete rule), for cards printed before Gold Edition, an action is Political even if it doesn't have the "Political" keyword if the action modifies an honor loss or gain or if it requires discarding the Imperial Favor as a cost. [p. 4] Jeff Alexander, "post for 29 October 2002", 30 Oct 2002 - Q: Since Eiji's ability can be used to cause an honor loss (that's what I take from this ruling?) from an honor producing holding under Deeds not Words what about... 1) Miya Yemi 2) Oni no Pekkle
A: Yes and yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 15 February 2002", 16 Feb 2002 - Q: Or, if three Kiyomis and a Miya Yemi are in play, is the following sequence legal upon beginning an Action Phase with the Favor?
1. Bow Yemi and discard the Favor, +3 Honor 2. Bow 1st Tanitsu to take the Favor. 3. Discard Favor for an extra card 4. Bow 2nd Tanitsu to take the Favor. 5. Repeat #3 (2nd extra card) 6. Bow 3rd Tanitsu to take the Favor. 7. Repeat #3 (3rd extra card) 8. Bow any other Personality to Lobby for the Favor. 9. Reaction: Bow three Kiyomis, +3 Honor (+6 total) 10. Repeat #3 (4th extra card)
Final result: +6 Honor and four extra cards during the End Phase.
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 6 February 2002", 7 Feb 2002
