Rulings
- His assignment restrictions apply and refer only to his army. [DW, email] He may assign opposing non-Shadowlands units and vice-versa. Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 116
- May only target a bowed Shadowlands card to straighten it. [ZF, web, 27 February 2005] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 116
- His refusal to join you if your family honor is positive is technically not an "honor requirement". [DW, l5rinfo] Accumulated Rulings, February 8, 2000, p. 42
- It cannot be waived by Unexpected Allies or Mountain of the Seven Thunders. Is not Undead. He has not been reprinted with the Undead trait, and the traits of more-experienced versions of Personalities do not apply retroactively to all less-experienced versions. Will not cause himself to bow upon assigning if his Personal Honor is raised above 1. The implied phrase is "in the same army as himself", which requires two different Personalities. [netnews, 8/10/99] Accumulated Rulings, February 8, 2000, p. 42
Rules Q&A
- Q: And another question...
Moto Tsume XP2 says:
"You cannot assign Tsume to the same battle as a unit with no shadowlands cards, and vice versa."
Can anybody clarifyme that sentence?, i'm spanish and in my language it could be interpreted in two different ways.
A: It means that Tsume can only be assigned to a battle if there are no units without Shadowlands cards there (in your army), and that once he's assigned, only units with Shadowlands cards can be assigned to his army. It doesn't affect units in the other army at all. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for August 17th", 17 Aug 2001 - Q: so does this meed Moto Tsume ability to unbow a shadowlands card can be done over and over and over again?
A: On himself, you mean? Given that this is an old card, and the rules were not as tightly defined as now, I'm going to say no. I'll rule that he can only target a bowed Shadowlands card. Zen Faulkes, "Moto Tsume ..rule question", 27 Feb 2005
