Rules Q&A
- Q: I am under the impression that text from Oracle of the Void should be taken as final say for MRP.
Some newer cards have names as titles, such as "Asukai, the Tireless". Some of these cards on Oracle indicate that "the Tireless" is a keyword, while some others with titles do not have the title as a keyword.
Should we include these titles as keywords, and add them to the number of keywords a card has, or ignore it as an oversight on Oracle?
Sadly a few games ended in question because of "Murderous Intent".
Thanks in advance guys!
A: The bit of flavor after a comma in card's title is indeed considered a single keyword.
It will be added to the Ivory Clan Champions sometime before their tournament legality, but it should be present on the entries for all cards prior to that.
However, if it's any consolation, we're pretty sure at this point that we're never going to print another card that counts keywords ever again. Brook Cunningham, "Number of keywords clarification", 4 Jan 2014 - Q: This question is not about Rhetoric but more so if I can cause an unintentional honor loss from an opponent's action on myself and trigger Rugashi's Bazaar. Rugashi Bazaar text:
Murderous Intent:
Here's the question:
My non-spider opponent plays Murderous Intent on his action phase to give one of his personalities a force bonus. I play Rhetoric to redirect the honor loss to myself.
**Can I then use Rugashi Bazaar during my next turn to give a force bonus?
**Same question again but what if my opponent is playing a stronghold that says, "You do not lose honor from Spider clan and Fate cards you own."
A: Yes and no respectively.
Changing the Honor loss recipient from him to you from his action fulfills the requirement for taking Rugashi Bazaar's action.
However, if the Honor loss "does not" happen, there is no trigger for Rhetoric to even be played. Brook Cunningham, "Rugashi Bazaar with Rhetoric", 15 Mar 2012
