My question is, if the Samurai targeted by Musha Shugyo leaves play, do I still have to declare an attack each turn?
A: You get to be the first vic^H^H^H person I get to answer questions for! Congratulations!
That being said, the stated duration of the effects on the card is "Until the end of the game..." and not "Until (the Samurai) leaves play." Thus, my ruling would be that, after playing that card, for the rest of the game, you must declare an attack and assign him if possible. If he is out of play for whatever reason, you won't be able to assign him, naturally.
However, you *must* declare an attack. Dan Jacobson, "Musha Shugyo", 2 Nov 2008
