Rules Q&A
- Q: does "Tsuno" in the card title give the card the tsuno trait and make it available for the bonus from Nikushimi[?]
A: Yes (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 33). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 1 September 2003", 2 Sep 2003 - Q: Is Nikushimi able to attack Fields of the Dead, i.e. does it get the 2F bonus before or after assignment?
A: After. Nikushimi may assign there. Jeff Alexander, "post for 6 May 2003", 7 May 2003 - Q: Does the 2 force bonus from Nikushimi include all Tsuno cards including Tsuno Followers and the Tsuno Blade?
A: Yes. A "tsuno" is any card with the word "tsuno" in its title or boldfaced traits line. [GE p. 33] Jeff Alexander, "post for 10 January 2003", 11 Jan 2003 - Q: Does Nikushimi get the bonus from Family Tactics if I name Tsuno?
A: No. Families work by card titles only. Jeff Alexander, "post for 9 December 2002", 10 Dec 2002 - Q: Does Tsuno Blade get a bonus from Nikushimi and add to Tsuno Nintai's ability?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 2 December 2002", 3 Dec 2002 - Q: 2) Nikushimi is attacking province A and gets hit by In Search of the Future. He then Superior Tactics over to province B. As there's no change in his status (he was attacking and is still attacking with no break in between) I ruled that he doesn't get his force back. Was I right?
A: Right. Jeff Alexander, "post for 10 June 2002", 11 Jun 2002 - Q: Also, I havethe following misprinted cards: 3x Rallying Cry (The G is left off GE on the bottom of the card) Proposal of peace (Jade era event) has fate back instead of dynasty Sezarus mask (blurred image and text) Nikushimi (blurred image and text) Friendly traveler village has a splotch of purple ink in the text box Tamori Shaitung has no set distinction at bottom of card
Does anyone know what can be done with these cards? Are they worth anything? are they worth koku? any ideas? Can I trade them in fro normal copies?
A: The misbacked Proposal of Peace is worth 3 koku. It's also legal to play if you use opaque sleeves.
The blurred and blemished images aren't worth anything unless the defects are truly severe.
The Rallying Cry and Shaitung are fixed cards from An Oni's Fury Clan decks. None of the fixed reprint cards in any of that set's decks have any set attributions. Apparently, according to your discovery, only the "G" from "GE" got deleted from the Rallying Cry, which is something I hadn't known until now. I've just checked my reference stacks, though, and it's like that on all of them. So, yes, you found a misprint, but it's not isolated; every Rallying Cry pre-sorted into all AOF decks is like that. And no, it's not worth koku. Jeff Alexander, "post for 3 June 2002", 4 Jun 2002
