Rules Q&A
- Q: Say Katahide is attacking, and the opposing player defends. The attacking player uses Sneak Attack on Katahide, and the defender uses Reinforce or No Time for Games. Does Katahida get his additional action. I would say yes, because he never says "If Successful"
A: Whether or not their effects "do not" happen or are "negated", all actions that are taken "resolve".
So, yes, Katahide will have a vaild trigger for his Reaction even if the Defender uses Reinforce the Gates or No Time for Games on your first action. Brook Cunningham, "Katahide vs Negation", 2 Jul 2011 - Q: [EE] No time for games. Does this card act as a naval counter or also cancels action played after naval declaration? I mean, if I declare naval as attacker and then a ranged attack on a strategy card from hand, does No time for games cancel both my right to play first (naval declaration) and the card I played from my hand?
A: If an action's effects are negated, you don't get an opportunity to play another in its place. So, while NTFG does only negate the effects of the Ranged Battle action, your Naval at engagement for that battle is now effectively irrelevant too.
