Rules Q&A
- Q: When my opponent gains honor can I react with both Rhetoric and Noh Theater Troupe?
A: No. Noh Theatre Troupe is used "after" a player has gained or lost honor (card text). If you redirect the gain/loss "before" the loss or gain with Rhetoric (card text), the other player's honor never changes. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 8 November 2003", 8 Nov 2003 - Q: If I have a singular holding out (ie. Noh Theater Troupe) and I play Contested holding on my opponent's NTT, can I have two in play if I win the Contested holding?
A: No. Precedent: Otomo Ambassadors. See Rules Archive. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 9 September 2003", 9 Sep 2003 - Q: Soshi Eiji + Deeds Not Words + Noh Theater Troupe?
A: Works. See Rules Archive, Personalities, Soshi Eiji (http://www.legendofthefiverings.com/rulings/) Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 7 September 2003", 7 Sep 2003 - Q: Noh Theater Troupe: Political Reaction: Bow Noh Theater Troupe after another gains Honor or resolves a Political action to gain 2 Honor.
I assume that because the wording on this is similar to Kaukatsu, you can't steal an honour gain with TWT and react to the same gain with a NTT?
A: Correct. Noh Theater Troupe must be used "after" the Honor is actually gained. Jeff Alexander, "post for 9 May 2003", 10 May 2003
