Rules Q&A
- Q: My opponent uses control on my Goblin. I use Omoni xp2 's Battle/open ability using the "controlled" goblin as the "sacrifice". The next turn I use Omoni xp2 's battle/open to bring the "controlled" goblin back into play. I believe that since the "controlled" goblin was never "out of play" (face down in my dynasty deck/provinces or in my hand, or removed from the game) it doesn't lose the "card memory" of being controlled, but since bringing it into play doesn't "straighten" cards, they simply enter play unbowed, he would enter play unbowed.
So the end result of the above should mean that the goblin that was the original target of control we be; in play, unbowed, and still under the effects of control (assuming my opponents control target has not bowed or left play). Is that correct?
Omoni xp2 's ability: Battle/Open: Destroy one of your Goblin Personalities: Bring a target Goblin Personality from your discard pile into play at Omoni’s location, ignoring its Gold Cost.
Thanks, Mouth (edited because I forgot to include omoni's ability)
A: A Personality under the effects of Control remains under Control's effect until he is both face down and out of play.
Even in Death you are under Control Dan Jacobson, "Control and its target entering the discard pile", 27 Jul 2009 - Q: in reference to this post

same situation, but with a Goblin Healer in play, could you destroy Omoni with his action, then react with the Healer to bring him back into play, then have the rest of the actions effects resolve?
the only reason i even think its remotely possible is that Goblin Healer is worded "after a Goblin is destroyed..." so he doesnt bring Omoni back into play until after the change has fully occured, thus paying for the action, but before the effects would try to resolve, leaving Omoni in play at a location.
if that does not work, please explain why
A: That looks like it would work. Chris Fuchs, "Omoni (xp2) and Goblin Healer", 16 Jun 2006
