Rules Q&A
- Q: Yoritomo Hanayo: would the Orochi in another province be considered required targeting?
A: Yes.
http://rules.l5r.com/CE_FAQ#What_are_re ... targets.3F Zen Faulkes, "Yoritomo Hanayo", 16 Oct 2010 - Q: In reference to http://www.alderac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=57619...
The reason I ask whether it means "copy" or not is that the Lotus rulebook refers to copying when replacing names. As Orochi does not say "copy" does the follower not become self-referential?
In other words, if I have Yoritomo Bob with the ability...
"Bow Yoritomo Bob: Do something."
and I copy the ability with Sam, it now says...
"Bow Sam: Do something."
However, if I just make the ability "the same", does it still say...
"Bow Yoritomo Bob: Do something." or is it self-referential as if it said "copy"?
Thanks,
Leon
A: Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Put the magnifying glass down.
In the context of the card, "same" just means "equal." Zen Faulkes, "Orochi sensei "same" pt 2", 29 May 2007
