Rules Q&A

• Q: So, I attatch KoP to any Shugenja and Shiwasu remains with nothing attatched, then cast KoP from Shiwasu. Do I destroy KoP when Shiwasu straghtens?
A: Not unless you managed to move Kanji of Power to Shiwasu. Kanji of Power's effect destroys all spells attached to the affected Shugenja when the caster straightens. You don't even need Shiwasu to skirt this effect. You could return Kanji of Power to your hand after casting it, or move it to another Personality using a card effect. Once the spell is cast, its effects continue regardless of the Spell card's current status. Martin Lund, "Rules for 5 August 2004", 9 Aug 2004
• Q: If I have a Summon Earth Kami attached to an Agasha Seruma, and have already bowed her to cast it this turn, is Asako Shiwasu prevented from casting the spell, as if it was attached to her?
A: She is prevented from casting Summon Earth Kami again since you've already used the Action and the Action specifies that it is "Once per turn." It doesn't matter who is casting the Spell, it can only have its Action successfully played once in a given turn. Martin Lund, "Rules for 18 May 2004", 20 May 2004
• Q: If I use Asako Shiwasu's ability does it destroy the other spell?
  A: Yes. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 20 August 2003, Part 2", 21 Aug 2003
