Rules Q&A
- Q: [OBH]
If I play Gozoku Pawn, and my opponent targets someone: I want to redirect: sorry, but these have slightly different timing so I want to make sure... Can I deflect to a duelist with equal or higher chi? Can I do the same with passing the message?
A: No in both cases. The new target must be legal, and the targeting for Pawn must be someone of lower Chi. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 17 Jun 2026
