- "Care for them." She stood before him and lowered her obsidian hand. She whispered once more as her form shimmered away, "I will be watching." The Champion of the Dragon smiled into the silence. "I know."

Rules Q&A
- Q: I want to make sure I have this correct.
I cannot combine the fear from zlkyt's family and another basic fear effect in the same unit to by pass followers, but I can increase zlkyt's family fear with courage interrupts and still bypass followers.
I can increase an unstoppable battle: fear with other normal fear effects in the same unit and it would still be unstoppable.
Ascendance could copy zlkyt's family and could bypass followers if I was attacking, but if I copy an unstoppable battle: fear with Ascendance, it would not be unstoppable, only the strength and any effects are copied.
A: I cannot combine the fear from zlkyt's family and another basic fear effect in the same unit to by pass followers, but I can increase zlkyt's family fear with courage interrupts and still bypass followers. Correct.

Ascendance could copy zlkyt's family and could bypass followers if I was attacking, but if I copy an unstoppable battle: fear with Ascendance, it would not be unstoppable, only the strength and any effects are copied. No. Ascendance copies the effect, not the action. If the strength of the Fear effect is dependent on the target, then the Fear effect created by Ascendance has its strength calculated in the same way. However, the targeting requirements of Ascendance are those of standard Fear actions as described in the Rulebook, so if you copy Zlykt's Family's Fear effect, you may not bypass Followers. Similarly, other conditions are ignored, so you do not have to be attacking. Furthermore, other effects created by the Fear action are also not copied. For example, you copy Nezumi Remnants' Fear 2, the conditional destruction effect is ignored. Another example: If you copy Moto Tadasu's Fear 3, it's not Unstoppable, you can't target Spells, and it won't destroy anything - in the absence of other actions/traits/etc. Alex Jones, "Fear questions", 13 Feb 2015 - Q: When using Ascendance to copy a few effect from a card in Nao's unit, does Nao's trait work on the replicated effect as well?
A: No, because the Fear effect itself comes from Ascendance, not a card in Nao's unit. Jon Palmer, "Nao + Ascendance", 4 Jul 2014 - Q: What exactly does Ascendance copy when you play it? It says fear effect that is a copy of a fear effect in your army, so does it pick up qualities like targeting through followers a la Tested Blade?
If so, what would happen if you tried to copy Oneiyara's fear? Would you end up with a fear equal to his force that can only target the loser, and as such not be able to target anything with it? Or does something else entirely happen?
A: Ascendence would copy all effects and restrictions of the Fear. So copying Tested Blade would produce Fear equal to the Personality's chi that goes through followers, and copying Oneiyara would produce a Fear effect that could only target the duel's loser - and Ascendance doesn't produce a duel, so there would be no legal targets.
