Rules Q&A

• Q: Hows is not losing the honor for being Spider Clan any different than a Shadowlands not loosing the honor for Oni no Akuma when he comes into play?
  A: Spider Clan is not Shadowlands.
  The way Shadowlands strongholds work was laid out over ten years ago, when the rules for L5R were much more loosey goosey (to use the technical term). That's why they've always had extensive explanations of how they're supposed to work, from the Anvil of Despair rulebook down through the Rules Archive in all its incarnations.
