Rules Q&A
- Q: My opponent resolved the Event Festival of the River of Stars. He choose "River" as the word.
If the following cards - Black Finger River (Region) - Pulse of the Black River (Event) are revealed in my Provinces, what Gold cost have them?
A) 2 Gold cost B) no Gold cost, because the Region and Events hasn't a specified Gold cost, then Festival of the River of Stars couldn't increased it by two.
A: The answer would be "B." Festival of the River of Stars tries to increase their Gold Cost, which is an unlisted value, and fails to do so. Martin Lund, "Rules for 13 October 2004", 19 Oct 2004 - Q: Player A is doing corrupt Crane with Pulse of the Black River active and an Ashura attacking Player B's province, or ambushing, or whatever.
Player B is also doing the corruption love with a Voitagi with Bloodstained Peasents attatched (5 force Unit).
Player A has Ashura "do what he must" and blows him up (with To Do What we Must). Ashura's trait kicks in and destroys Bloodstained Peasents (or some other legal target... I think), then TDWWM resolves to kill the remaining Voitagi...
The question is, how much Honor does Player A get from Pulse?
A: 4 Honor. He destroyed Ashura and Voitagi with an Action. Martin Lund, "Rules for 31 May 2004", 2 Jun 2004 - Q: If both Song of Corruption and Pulse of the Black River have resolved, when I duel some one with a Geisha Assassin can I give the Geisha Assassin the Shadowlands trait?
A: Yes. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 1 July 2003", 2 Jul 2003 - Q: Once Pulse of the Black River takes effect...
If I use To Do What We Must on one of my Shadowlands personalities to blow up a Shadowlands personality, I gain 4 honor and may taint two personalities correct?
A: Yes. Notice that you are forced to "select one Personality ...to permanently gain the Shadowlands trait", twice -- it is not an optional effect. However, it can be the same Personality both times and it can be a Personality who already has the trait. Jeff Alexander, "post for 25 March 2003", 26 Mar 2003
