- The son of Togashi stood at the gate of Mirumoto Palace, the courtyard dark and bleak as a hundred bodies bled on the ground. "Why?" asked the Qamar, horrified. "Because they believe in her," Hoshi whispered.

Rules Q&A
- Q: I suppose that when an effect makes me draw "extra" or "additional" cards during the End phase (Touching the Void, Ashigaru Spearmen, etc), these draws happen at the same time as the normal End phase card draw, correct?
A: That makes sense. The normal rule is "Draw 1." The effect basically changes that to, "Draw 1+1." Martin Lund, "Rules for 19 and 20 September 2004", 24 Sep 2004 - Q: Since the extra card drawing is now a trait with no real qualifiers, instead of a coming into play affect, shouldn't you be able to draw a card *every* turn?
A: See Rules Archive. No. (Think about it: Would bringing Experienced Kyoso no Oni into play cause you to lose 5 Honor *every turn* until the end of the game? It's worded the same way as the Ashigaru Followers.) Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 12 July 2001", 13 Jul 2001 - Q: The oracle shows different wordings for the ashigaru spearmen on the shown card and in the textbox. Which wording is correct?
A: The Oracle text is correct. This was MRP'd to match Ashigaru Archers in the 20 Festivals starter decks. Jon Palmer, "Ashigaru Spearmen source conflict", 30 Jun 2015
