Rules Q&A
- Q: While it was helpful, the answer to my question (here) only implied that all Followers, created, brought into play from discard pile, etc, are considered to have been played from the hand according to the text on Requisitioned Troops.
This is merely confirmation requested. "Return" something to somewhere implies that it had to be in that place it is returning to at one point. Should I read this as "place the target in the location" and ignore the meaning of "Return" when applying the effect to cards that were not in the location they are being "returned" to? I have no complaints if so, since I plan to use this card
A: The usage of the word return does not carry any implications as to where the card initially entered play from in this case. Chris Fuchs, "Re: Requisitioned Troops", 26 Jul 2007 - Q: A created card ceases to exist when it leaves play. A created card that cannot enter play ceases to exist.
A: It is legal to attempt to return a created card to its owner's hand. Instead of going to its owner's hand, it ceases to exist. Chris Fuchs, "Requisitioned Troops versus Created Followers", 25 Jul 2007
