Rules Q&A
- Q: According to the text of Terrains they are "Put into play at the current battlefield." (e.g. Rocky Terrain) Since they are at the battlefield (targetable), and have no attachments, does that mean that A Stain Cleansed can blow them up? What about Yoritomo Kanaye, or Yorotimo Singh xp?
A: Terrains are in play at the battlefield, but they are not enemy cards. Therefore they cannot generally be targeted by standard battle abilities, although you will find some pre-Emperor. Jon Palmer, "Terrains?", 26 Jul 2013 - Q: Regarding the question in http://alderac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=95893:
The two terrains are MRPed in EE starters to have the updated text. Going from my deck lists (so pretty sure what actually made it into the starters. Haven't checked yet.) 2 Rocky Terrains in each of Lion, Crane, Mantis. 2 Killing Grounds in each of Unicorn, Scorpion, Phoenix

A: Please see this announcement, point #2. Brook Cunningham, "BtD Terrains (Rocky Terrain and The Killing Grounds)", 24 Jan 2012 - Q: Just confirming this - The controller of Rocky Terrain chooses which two personalities to bow, correct?
A: Yes. Cards' texts are read from the perspective of the controller/owner, so the "You" is indeed you, if it's your Rocky Terrain. Brook Cunningham, "Rocky Terrain", 1 Aug 2011 - Q: The only reason there's been any sort of discussion on this in our group is because the card doesn't use the word "target", which you would expect from such an effect. Just making 100% sure before gencon.
A: Actually, traits don't usually target; that's more of an action thing. And I will be personally on hand, Judging at GenCon, if that makes you feel any better. Brook Cunningham, "Rocky Terrain", 1 Aug 2011 - Q: Thank you!
A: You're quite welcome! Brook Cunningham, "Rocky Terrain", 1 Aug 2011
