Seeking the Question Void • Kata Limited: If this card is in play: Look at the top card of any deck. You may put it at the bottom of that deck. Limited: Put this card into play. Discard all your other Kata (in play).
I hadn't considered this before, but does the first Limited action on Seeking the Question count towards the Ring of the Void's entering play requirement?
So, if I put Seeking The Question into play, then use the first Limited ability, I'd be two actions towards Void?
A: Each action is from a Strategy, so both count towards putting Ring of the Void into play. Can one use the second Limited action even after the Kata is already in play? Since the "put this card into play" is an effect, not in itself a restriction, I am figuring that action can be taken even though the card is already in play (just the same as a "Bow the personality" effect on a bowed personality).
This would allow you to "score" two "actions from strategies in one phase" towards the Ring of Void, even beyond the turn when the Kata is played, right?
A: No.
As described under Card Types, Playing Strategies, Strategies are played from the hand. Abilities on Strategies in play may not be used - unless the ability says so, for example, like Seeking the Question's first ability. Alex Jones, "Question on Seeking the Question", 30 May 2012
