Rules Q&A
- Q: Let's say that Ayamari and Yoritomo Saburo are assigning on an attack phase to province A. The defender defends with a personality with 3 chi against us at province A.
Can I resolve province B and bow that personality with Ayamari and move in.
Relevant Text : Mantis Clan • Kenku • Creature • Nonhuman • Ninja Battle: Once per battle: Bow a target Personality with lower Chi opposing Ayamari. Ayamari may then fly away, moving to another location.
Basically does opposing mean relative to Ayamari or the battle I'm resolving. And Futhermore, would Ayamari have to move first in order for it to be legal.
A: The Rule of Location will prevent you from targeting personalities in Province A if you are resolving Province B, as Ayamari has no exception text. Chris Fuchs, "Ayamari", 23 Aug 2007 - Q: In regards to this post.

2 Questions come up. I think the first question I can answer but the second I can't.
Question 1: If you start the battle with Ayamari in it, you can use her action then move the target to another location in another battlefield. Can the battlefield be one that has already resolved? My answer to this is yes, just Ayamari has no revalance to any actions or effects already take into that battlefield.
Question 2: Can you Home be a location she can Fly to? Or does it have to be at another battlefield location?
A: Yes and yes. Your home is a valid location. Chris Fuchs, "In regards to the Ayamari Post. More Questions.", 27 Jul 2007 - Q: EXCEPTION: A Battle Action can target or be taken by a card in a unit at another location if its costs or effects say they can move the unit to the current battlefield. Choices within the action must then be taken, if possible, such that they do move the unit there.
