Rulings
- Cards referring to Yogo Junzo's Army or the Shadowlands Horde also refer to it. [Rulebook] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 151
- Cannot achieve an Honor Victory. This is implied by the fact that its honor can't rise above 0. Cannot legally play the Breach of Etiquette packed into the pre-sorted section of their own Clan Decks. Oops. Accumulated Rulings, February 8, 2000, p. 68
- Q: Speaking of Sensei, are my Kolat and Ratlings Shadowlands cards if a Shadowlands player brings them into play using Kage Sensei or Ak'tok'tuk Sensei? A: No. They gain the "Shadowlands Horde" trait. This term is not separable and is not equivalent to "Shadowlands." This is true if you're playing Sepulcher of Bone and The Spawning Ground, too, not just the Shadowlands Horde Stronghold itself. The Imperial Herald, Issue 16, p. 12
Rules Q&A
- Q: 3/ With the appropriately aligned stronghold, do Shadowlands, Naga, and Monk cards eneter play at 2 less (or +honour), or only if they specifically say (eg: Sepulcher of Bone reduces Undead by 2).
A: Yes for everything except Shadowlands and Ratling. There are special rules for those Strongholds, and they are the only ones who do not get the advantage of bringing people into play for 2 less or honor. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for November 13th", 13 Nov 2000 - Q: [OBH]
I'm using stronghold: Sepulcher of Bone because it has one of the coolest stronghold names. I play Burn The Village on my opponent's two boxable personalities: one of whom has a follower. As a trait of my stronghold do I create one, two, or three 1F Undead Shadowlands Followers?
A: Three. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 2 Aug 2026
