Rules Q&A
- Q: b) My opponent is also playing Phoenix. I target my opponent's Shiba Tsukune with the Asahina's Blessing and then Quest for Guidance. Does his Shiba Tsukune now go into my discard as my honorable dead?
A: She goes into your discard pile, but not as Honorable Dead. Jeff Alexander, "post for 31 March 2003", 1 Apr 2003 - Q: These are Reactions, so they cannot be simultaneous. The answer depends on which gets played second, which depends on when and whether the players use them. They both have the same trigger (entering the duel), so the player to the left of the active player gets the first option of reacting or not reacting. Things go clockwise from there.
Wait, was Shiba Tsukune MRP'ed AGAIN? I thought her +3C bonus was a trait, not a reaction...?
A: As far as I've found, it's always been a Reaction. It's definitely a Reaction in Gold Edition, which is all that matters. Perhaps you're thinking of Otaku Kamoko's +1F on attack? Jeff Alexander, "post for 11 January 2002", 12 Jan 2002 - Q: 2) Shiba Tsukune (inexperienced, inexplicably in Gold) challenges Soshi Angai to a duel. The former Shosuro Techniques going in. Does the 3C bonus happen before the Technique, making the Technique redundant, or afterwards, making it useful?
A: These are Reactions, so they cannot be simultaneous. The answer depends on which gets played second, which depends on when and whether the players use them. They both have the same trigger (entering the duel), so the player to the left of the active player gets the first option of reacting or not reacting. Things go clockwise from there. Jeff Alexander, "post for 10 January 2002", 11 Jan 2002 - Q: Shiba Tsukune: (C)an I include both the kyd xp2 version and her normal xp 2 version in the same deck?
A: Rules Archive, Experienced: "Experienced and Experienced KYD cards are separate cards. Both may be in a deck, and neither impinges upon the other's uniqueness." Zen Faulkes, "Shiba Tsukune KYD", 27 May 2007 - Q: Also her trait doesn't say "this" card is non-unique, but rather "Tsukune is non-unique" so does it apply to all copies of cards named (Shiba) Tsukune in play and in the deck?
A: No. Zen Faulkes, "Shiba Tsukune KYD", 27 May 2007 - Q: So if her kyd exp 2 version is in play can I have both her xp1 and xp3 versions seperately in play without needing to overlay?
A: No. The Experienced and Experienced 3 versions have a uniqueness conflict. Zen Faulkes, "Shiba Tsukune KYD", 27 May 2007
