Rules Q&A
- Q: Supposing it's on, say, Shinjo Maku, can I bow the Horsebow for a ranged 2 and Mako for the ranged 3 printed on him, and combine the two ranged attacks for a ranged 5?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 3 December 2002", 4 Dec 2002 - Q: In a message dated 3/14/02 10:56:24 PM Central Standard Time, writes:

Yes.
Now the question is, can you combine the ranged from an item that doesn't bow the personality with one on the personality?
Forwarded to the Rules Team.
The above two answers are inconsistent.
A: I need to make doubly sure that the Rules Team is all in agreement on whether the rules regarding combined ranged attacks care about which card is "performing" the attacks versus which cards they're coming from. I personally think it's the latter, and that's the way it's always been read, but it won't hurt to check.
