  Geisha Escort (follower) Can only attach to a ninja or courtier. Personalities opposing this card cannot straighten. If Nikai has Geisha Escort attached when ambushing someone, will the defender straighten ?
  A: No.
  At the time when the effect "straighten [the defending personality]" occurs, Nikai's Geisha Escort is opposing the defending personality, so the defending personality cannot straighten. Alex Jones, "Shosuro Nikai and Geisha Escort", 31 May 2008

  Shosuro Nikai states per his errata:

  If Nikai has a Geisha Escort attached which effect takes precidence ... The trait on the Geisha Escort which prohibits straightening or the straighten effect of Nikai's ambush ability if target is bowed?

  CR, Assign : Units led by bowed Personalities can not normally assign, either as part of the normal Attack Phase procedure, or through other effects that assign them.
  So, if I read this right, if I use Shosuro Nikai on one of my opponent bowed personality, I can't assign the unit, but it stil straighten, am I right?
