• Q: What would happen in this situation? Player A assigns with Shosuro Toson Xp2 and 2 Naval personalities, Player b Defends with one Paragon person. After engaging player A declares Naval Invasion with one of the naval personalities, Player B then uses Grateful Reward and attaches a follower, Player A then uses Shosuro Toson Xp2's reaction. Who must perfom the first action?

  Shosuro Toson Xp2 Reaction: After engaging at Toson's battlefield: Discard a card from the current battlefield's province.If this discarded a Personality, you have the first oppurtunity to take a Battle action in this battle, which must be performed by Toson
  Grateful Reward: Reaction: After engaging, choose your performing Samurai at the current battlefield: Create a 1F Ashigaru • Cavalry Follower and attach it to him. If he is a Paragon, gain 2 Honor and draw a card.
  A: The Naval Personality. Similar to your other question, in this case Toson is attempting to stack the ability to go first with the already existing ability granted by Naval, and therefore the effect (and its differing restrictions) fails.

  I just want to make sure I understand the flow of things. Player N-for-Naval attacks Player T-for-Toson. Player N attacks with more Naval guys, and Player T defends with Toson. After engaging, active player has first chance for a reaction. The way I see it, it can go one of these ways:
  1) Player N (active): Pass the reaction. Player T: Pass the reaction. Result: Player T (defending) gets 1st action.
  2) Player N (active): Declare Naval Player T: Announce Toson's ability Result: Player T gets the 1st action.
  3) Player N (active): Pass the reaction Player T: Announce Toson's ability Player N: Declare Naval Result: Player N gets the 1st action.
  So, unless Player T is playing badly (scenario 3), he can prevent player N from taking the first action either way (assuming no OTHER "take the first action" effects). Does that look correct?

Is it a first come, first serve basis or can the first action be stolen from me by a later reaction?
