Rules Q&A
- Q: The wording on Aramasu's Pride doesn't say 'gold-producing holding' anywhere. Theoretically, after a successful Raid, could you target a Shrine of Stone?
A: Sure. Martin Lund, "Rules for 24 January 2005", 31 Jan 2005 - Q: Would that Shrine of Stone then be able to bow for 4 for the rest of the turn?
A: No. Shrine of Stone is not a Gold-producing holding. It has no innate Gold Production effects. Trying to raise the value of something that isn't there (gold production) does not work without first giving the value to the card (like the special rules of Yu do). (Diamond Edition Rulebook, pages 63 and 93) Martin Lund, "Rules for 24 January 2005", 31 Jan 2005 - Q: Can you use Shrine of Stone to straighten your Personality if they are Ambushed?
A: No. During an Ambush, you are in an Attack Phase, not an Action Phase. Jeff Alexander, "post for 23 September 2002", 25 Sep 2002
