Rules Q&A
- Q: For Hungry Ghost, the ability says "destroy a non-spirit token controlled by any player". Does that mean that I cannot use it on my own Farmlands tokens if I am using Shrine Of The Spirits as my stronghold?
A: It means that, yes. Your Stronghold gives your Farmlands tokens the Spirit trait, since they're human Followers. [card text] Jeff Alexander, "post for 3 December 2002", 4 Dec 2002 - Q: Hey everybody.
Two quick questions:
1) Shrine of the Spirits has a line that says "Your events do not resolve." So Itok this to mean that a spirit player's events would have no effect. But someone told me otherwise so I'm just wondering who's right.
A: Not only do they have no effect, but they don't even stop other players' copies from resolving later that same game. Jeff Alexander, "post for 28 January 2002", 29 Jan 2002 - Q: Hey all two q's
1) Do cards that affect the Thunders (e.g. The Hooded Ronin Exp.) affect all expierience versions of the Thunder?
2) The line on Shrine of the Spirits that says "Your events do not resolve." does mean that they have no effect instead of they take effect again every event phase?
A: When you turn one face up, nothing happens. It does not even deny the Event to any other players later in the game. Jeff Alexander, "post for 22 January 2002", 23 Jan 2002 - Q: [OBH] with Shrine of the Spirits and a sensei that lowers the province strenght (tetsuya for example), Does a creature with zero force break a province?
A: Kempy makes a fair point. Additionally, all stats besides HR and Starting Family Honor have a minimum value of 0; they cannot be negative. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 21 Nov 2025 - Q: I think they mean that the sensei lists which clan/factions it will join and Spirit isn't on the list So it's not compatible with the Shrine of the Spirits in the first place
A: Oooooh. I see, I see. Yes, haha, Ratling was not "All". Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 1 Sep 2025 - Q: question under legacy. Does the shrine of the spirits, give you a clan aligment? Can I use At'tok'tuk Sensei with this stonghold to get rats for 2 less gold?
A: Yes. The Clan Alignment of the Spirit Stronghold is "Spirit", and the Sensei will give your Rat Personalities "Spirit"... y'know, if the Stronghold isn't banned in the Legacy format you're playing. 😛 EDIT: Oh, and if Ratling Sensei could be used by Spirit, but it's not an "All Clans" Sensei. >_< Sorry I missed that.
