Rules Q&A
- Q: I challenged my opponent with Test of Might.
Will the printed force will still be compared even if we both focused?
A: Well, assuming no one has less Force than their printed force, sure. Silence the Future puts the maximum for Force equal to printed. There may be people with less Force than printed at the beginning of the duel, and they could benefit from focusing up to the point where their Force caps out. Martin Lund, "Rules for 21 April 2004", 23 Apr 2004 - Q: A unit's Force total is the sum of the modified Force of all unbowed Personalities and Followers in the unit.
A: The Force of your Spells and Items do not get counted into the Force total of your units. They only help if they increase the Force of your Personalities or Followers. If Silence the Future prevents an Item from raising a Personality's Force, then the Item isn't helping your unit's (or army's) Force total. Martin Lund, "Silence the Future and Items", 13 Nov 2007 - Q: (D)oes Silence the Future count as a Force penalty?
A: http://rules.l5r.com/Card_features#Gene ... bout_stats: "When a maximum or minimum is applied, any change in the stat due to this is not considered a penalty or bonus." Zen Faulkes, "Silence the Future + Iron Testsubo", 16 Aug 2007
