Rules Q&A
- Q: Is Farmlands considered a "Farm" for the purpose of Simple Huts?
A: No. "Farmlands" is all one word. You can't break it apart into "Farm" and "lands" Martin Lund, "Rules for 5 May 2004", 8 May 2004 - Q: Simple question about Simple Huts...is it considered a "gold-producing holding" for the purposes of Crystal Mine?
A: Well, it's a Holding, and it produces Gold. That makes it a "Gold-producing Holding". And not just "for the purposes of Crystal Mine". It's a Gold-producing Holding, period. Jeff Alexander, "rules for 27 Feb. 2004", 28 Feb 2004 - Q: At first glance, I thought yes, but upon reflection, Simple Huts does't actually *produce gold*.
A: It has an effect of producing 5 Gold. The fact that the cost is something other than "bow this card" is absolutely irrelevant. Jeff Alexander, "rules for 27 Feb. 2004", 28 Feb 2004 - Q: Can you use Barely Farm's reaction when you bow it with Crystal Mine or Simple Huts? If the answer is no, could you explain why. thanks
A: Yes. You have to use the Farm's Reaction first, then use the Mine Jeff Alexander, "rules for 11 Feb. 2004", 12 Feb 2004 - Q: is Simple Huts considered a gold-producing holding on its own merit?
A: Yes (http://l5r.alderac.com/rulings/#Holdings). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 4 December 2003", 5 Dec 2003 - Q: rules guys might say differently, but if my Simple Huts work with Silk Farms because they're farms too, the Tchickchuck should react to Ratling Nest as well
A: Nope, not going to say differently. You were correct. ^ a player Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 10 Jan 2024
