Rules Q&A
- Q: b) I announce the following action: Battle: Ranged 5 attack Targetting a Singh Remnants, and I play Sniping.
What is the result: RA 4 or RA 7?
A: It will be an Ranged 4 Attack.
Breaking it down: You have an RA5. You target Singh Remnants, and it's continuous trait applies itself in step C of Timing Sequence. You now have RA5-3 (RA2 Total.) You then get to play Reactions in Step D of Timing Sequence. Sniping resolves. Sniping checks to see the current RA strength before setting its bonus, which currently is 2 as defined by timing sequence and calculating a stat. This leaves us with RA5-3+2 (RA4 Total.)
Hope that helps! Ben Higgins, "Order for multiple effects modifying ranged attacks", 21 Nov 2013 - Q: Hi there,
If i create a personality, an ancestor for example, and attach singh remnants to it, what will happen to it when the ancestor dies (by battle resolution or strategy)? Is it removed from the game, because the created personality will be, or will it be discarded because the personality was originally destroyed?
I am sorry if this was answered somewhere before, but none of the search terms i could think of got me anywhere.
Thank you!

A: Created cards aren't technically removed from the game when they leave play; rather, they cease to exist (see here). So, the Singh Remnants leave play the same way as the Ancestor to whom they were attached (destruction), then end up in the discard pile as they would usually. The Ancestor would end up in the discard pile too, if it still existed, but it doesn't. Brook Cunningham, "Singh Remnants on created personality", 28 May 2012 - Q: Can Asahina Keigo use a copy of Singh Remnants that starts in your hand to essentially pay for itself?
Keigo's ability:
Reaction: When paying a Gold cost, bow Keigo and discard a card: Produce Gold equal to its Focus Value.
Singh Remnants ability:
Political Reaction: After your performing Personality enters play, if this card is in your hand or discard pile: Attach this card to him, paying all costs. Gain 1 Honor.
A: No.
Essentially, Singh Remnants isn't in your hand to be discarded when you try to pay for it with Keigo's Reaction.
See Card types, Playing attachments for more information. In Step A the card leaves your hand and in Step D you need to try to pay for it. Alex Jones, "Asahina Keigo and Singh Remnants", 22 Jan 2012
