Rules Q&A
- Q: Dishonored personalities can't Soul's Sacrifice, so go ahead and pick on the 3PH people with the Temple's ability. Remember, nothing says you have to accept the challenge once they've decided to make it.
Is this true?
A: Yes (Diamond rules, pg. 88). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 1 December 2003", 1 Dec 2003 - Q: 2.
"Soul's Sacrifice
Gold 0 Focus 2
Battle: One of your Samurai in this battle with over 2 Personal Honor sends home an opposing unit. The Samurai permanently gains the Undead and Shadowlands traits. "
First question: does the sent-home unit goes back bowed or unbowed?
A: It goes back as-is. Jeff Alexander, "replies to 6-9 July 2001", 19 Jul 2001 - Q: [D]oes the sent-home unit goes back bowed or unbowed [from Soul's Sacrifice]?
A: Unbowed. If an effect does not say if it changes a card's bowed / unbowed status, it doesn't. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 9 July 2001", 10 Jul 2001
