Rules Q&A
- Q: Is it legal to Spearhead a unit that bows due to the ending of Call to Arms' effect [?]
A: Yes, *if* that unit was in the last battle to resolve. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 18 November 2003", 18 Nov 2003 - Q: Can you Spearhead out of an Ambush?
A: Yes. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 14 November 2003", 14 Nov 2003 - Q: If he is in an attacking army after you have given him some fire tokens, can he be straightened with Spearhead.
A: No. "While he has any Fire tokens, he *cannot* straighten" (card text). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 4 November 2003, Part 2", 5 Nov 2003 - Q: Since Jusai is the Soul of Mitsu, I would think Spearhead would prevent him from bowing.
A: Spearhead doesn't work like Rallying Cry: it doesn't prevent. Jusai's stuck. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 4 November 2003, Part 2", 5 Nov 2003 - Q: Since they are at some point bowed before playing the Spearhead, it triggers their 'destroy a token, instead' clause.
A: Incorrect. Jusai can only lose tokens during the Straighten Phase (card text).
Ah, people trying to find loopholes for the Tattooed Man. It's like an Imperial Edition high school reunion. It makes me all nostalgic... Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 4 November 2003, Part 2", 5 Nov 2003 - Q: Does Spearhead get around the bowing effect of Suspended Terrain?
A: Yes. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 6 October 2003", 7 Oct 2003 - Q: Will Spearhead straighten Togashi Jusai after a battle he's in?
A: Ahhh. The first Soul of Mitsu question. I knew it would come.
No. "Cannot straighten" means just that: "cannot." Just repeating Jeff Alexander's answer for the record books. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 18 September 2003, Part 2", 19 Sep 2003
