Rules Q&A
- Q: I have Kanashimi in play, and play Stolen Records. If one of the cards that my opponent draws is the Ring of the Void, do they get to play it immediately[?]
A: No. Stolen Records is still resolving (Ring of the Void card text).
Zen Faulkes! * Crab Clan Scholar * Unaligned Voice in the Wilderness Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 6 July 2003", 6 Jul 2003 - Q: Is it right that when I use Kanashimis Reaction after Stolen Records my opponent will have no fate cards left?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 24 April 2003", 25 Apr 2003 - Q: A while back you guys quickly changed the card draw them out when you saw how well it was used in combo with Stolen records. Now, I have to wonder, did you guys purposly overlook that ruling when you made Kanashimi?
A: Kanashimi costs 12 Gold even in-Clan, causes a large Honor loss, has low stats for its cost, has weak other advantages, is Unique, and can't be drawn directly by other cards. Furthermore, 12 Personalities DO NOT GET PLAYED unless they do something major. Jeff Alexander, "post for 21 March 2003", 22 Mar 2003 - Q: Someone brought this to my attention.
Draw Them Out 0G Political Reaction: Play before a player who has already drawn Fate cards this turn draws one or more Fate cards. The next five Fate cards that player draws this turn (including the ones about to be drawn) are discarded immediately after being drawn. Lose 1 Honor. Stolen Records
Limited: Target another player. That player shuffles his or her hand into the Fate deck, then draws the same number of cards.
So, I was wondering if this two card six gold combo really does kill someones hand minus one to three cards. Please tell me I'm missing something here.
A: That combo looks legal to me. Jeff Alexander, "post for 19 August 2002", 20 Aug 2002 - Q: Too many posts to snip. Can we have an official ruling on the Stolen Records/ Draw Them Out combo?
A: A little patience, please? You have to expect a *little* delay on questions that get asked over a weekend, you know. Jeff Alexander, "post for 19 August 2002", 20 Aug 2002
