Rules Q&A
- Q: 3) Player A has 2 Voitagis in Battle A, 2 Goblin Wizards in Battle B, and 1 Suiteiru no Oni in Battle C. Which of the following can Player A legally perform? a) Resolve Battle A, let Suiteiru eat one Voitagi and give the tokens to the other Voitagi.
A: Sure. You've got Presence and Relevance in the current Battle. Martin Lund, "Rules for 24 and 25 October 2004", 27 Oct 2004 - Q: 2. Iron Pillar and Suiteiru no Oni.
If I destroy Suiteiru no Oni while he is part of an army to activate his ability while Iron Pillar is in play, and then use Iron Pillar to negate his destruction. Is the cost of his open action still payed? Does it resolve? Are the tokens created?
A: If you Negate the destruction, then Suiteiru no Oni's cost has not been paid. You can either destroy him again, or do nothing and the Action is canceled.
You won't get any tokens in any case unless Suiteiru no Oni actually gets destroyed. Martin Lund, "Rules for 3 June 2004", 6 Jun 2004 - Q: If Suiteiru no Oni uses his ability while not in the current battle and destroys another personality not in the current battle to pay the cost of his ability, do all of the oni tokens need to be placed on personalities in the current battle, or just one of them?
A: Just one token in the Current Battle will satisfy the Rule of Relevance. Martin Lund, "Rules for 21 May 2004", 24 May 2004 - Q: If I used Show of Good Faith to temporarily take control of an opponent's personality, could I do any of the following: Sacrifice the person to Suiteiru no Oni to lose a bunch of honor and make a bunch of podlings? Sacrifice the person to Refuge of the Three Sisters to go get a card?
A: Yes. Yes. Zen Faulkes, "Show of Good Faith", 15 Mar 2005
