Rules Q&A
- Q: a player uses Te'tik'kir's ability in a battle as a battle action. By doing this, where does the "Resurrected" rat come into play? in the battle or at home?
A: Where everything normally enters play: home. Zen Faulkes, "battle and Te'tik'kir", 30 Mar 2005 - Q: Lets say, my Opponent has Ik'krt (who is 1C) and Te'tik'kir (Experienced 2) on the table. i kill my chimamire no oni.
Quote:
Reaction: If your Stronghold is the Spawning Ground, after Chimamire no oni is destroyed, put a -1C token on up to two Personalities.
and his reaction kicks in. and i throw the -1C token to Ik'krt who dies due to 0C. Thus he hit the discard Pile. as a result, the token is destroyed. can my opponent now use Te'tik'kir (Experienced 2)'s ability(as show below) to bring back Ik'krt ? and can i use Chimamire no oni's rection and put two -1C token on one personality? or i can only put one on each personality
A: It says to put ONE token on each of up to 2 Personalities. You can't chose Ik'krt twice. Martin Lund, "another series of questions", 25 Mar 2005 - Q: Open: Bow Te'tik'kir and remove one of your discarded Ratling Personalities from the game to put one of your dead Ratling Personalities into play, ignoring all costs
A: This is an OPEN Action. You have to wait until the Reaction on Chimare and whatever Action caused him to die fully resolves before you have a chance to take an OPEN Action. All the tokens need to be handed out before Te'tik'ker can bring someone back to life. Martin Lund, "another series of questions", 25 Mar 2005 - Q: Cards: Te'tik'kir Experienced 2, Ratling Raider

Raider's cost may not be reduced.

Putting a card into play directly, "without gold cost," or by "waiving" its cost do not reduce the cost to zero.
Again, just double-triple checking. Using Tek's ability on the Raiders would bring them into play for free, because "ignoring all costs" is not a reduction. I ask this because some may see it as setting the gold value to zero (the case in Chi, Force, etc), but the rules say its not setting anything, just ignoring.
So, free Raiders. I am correct, yes?
A: There is no need to triple check. The question has been answered here. Zen Faulkes, "Cost ignorance, restrictions - double checking", 21 Mar 2005
