Rules Q&A
- Q: This isn't a new ruling from AEG there was a card called A soul of thunder it works the same way it has always been that way.
This shows my point. As I've only been on the list since September this year, I would never have seen the actual response Jeff (or whoever) gave for A Soul of Thunder, and I hope no one would suggest searching the entire archive every time I have a question to check for precedence...
A: No one has to search the entire archive for precedents other than myself and my fellow Rules Team members. (And even we don't "have" to. It's just a very, very good idea.) And search for precedents is exactly what I did, which is one of the two big reasons I made the ruling I made. (The other reason is the same reason the original ruling was made: it's a timing conflict, so the active player chooses.) Jeff Alexander, "post for 5 December 2002", 6 Dec 2002
