Rulings
- Prevents troops from assigning during a Counterattack. [DW, 14 June 1998] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 71
- Q: Is Goju Hitomi considered the Most-Recent Printing of Hitomi Experienced 3 from Hidden Emperor? Goju Hitomi says "Experienced 3 Mirumoto Hitomi" and doesn't have the little KYD mark. A: Goju Hitomi is her own card and not an MRP. None of the cards in 1,000 Years are reprintings of existing cards. We tried to put the KYD mark only on cards that had exact title conflicts with existing or potential future cards in the main storyline, so it is not always present. Rules Q&A
- Q: I know the Scorpion where exiled to Burning Sands, and the Moto returned from there during the Hidden Emperor arc, but besides this, what, if any, crossovers have occured between these three games.
A: Probably the most notable was the return of Shinjo (not a Shinjo, the Shinjo) from the City of 1,000 Stories. There are several other minor ones. Where do you think the Scorpion got a Bronze Lantern that summons Jinn? Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 19 May 2002", 20 May 2002 - Q: I have a question maybe someone here can help me with
The Hidden Emperor - Event All players have their rightmost Province destroyed. Each player may elect to renounce their ability to declare an attack against a player with fewervProvinces than themselves until the end of the game. Any player who renounces that ability does not have their Province destroyed.
If I play this card and me and my opponent both renounce to save a province. If Moon and Sun comes up and I put The hidden emperor back in, when it resolves we should both just lose a province right? or can you just renounce your ability to attack people with fewer provinces.
A: You both lose a province automatically. You can't renounce something you don't have. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for November 26th", 26 Nov 2000 - Q: My opponent is playing the region Ratling Villages from the Hidden Emperor set, claiming that it's a diffrent card than Ratling Village (which is singular). We play legacy rules format.
The two regions have the same ability. Is Ratling Villages considered a different card from Ratling Village, or is this a typo?
A: Typo.
I mean, your friend is techncially correct until I update the Legacy wiki in the next few seconds, but come on, right? Same title except for one letter AND same ability?
So, in conclusion, thanks for the catch; it's hard to keep track of them all. A lot of cards dropped the "The" on their reprints, and I only caught some more in just this last month. A pesky "s" is now a new demon that I shall have to watch out for. Brook Cunningham, "Ratling Village(s)?", 26 May 2009
