Rules Q&A
- Q: Just checking: the experienced Pekkle can still perform his political action under the Imperial Palace of Fu Leng, right?
A: Right. Jeff Alexander, "post for 24 January 2003", 25 Jan 2003 - Q: Corrupt Jade Vein Bow this card: Produce Gold equal to 2 plus the number of Shadowlands Personalities you control without the base Shadowlands keyword. If this pays for a Personality, permanently give him Shadowlands.
The Imperial Palace of Fu Leng You will not bring non-Shadowlands Personalities into play.
CJV (and a few other similar cards) give a Personality Shadowlands without specifying that they do so after he enters play. Does the keyword get applied quickly enough to allow the personality to enter play for The Imperial Palace of Fu Leng?
A: Unfortunately, no. If you follow the procedure for playing Personalities, you'll see that restrictions on entering play are checked prior to costs being paid. You'll need something like Black Finger River. Jon Palmer, "Imperial Palace of Fu Leng + Corrupt Jade Vein", 19 Mar 2013 - Q: If I use The Imperial Palace of Fu Leng with the At'tok'tuk Sensei, can I put ratling personalities into play even if they do not have the Shadowlands trait ?
A: No. Senseis that say certain cards are "members of your Clan" give those cards your Faction keyword. There is no "Shadowlands Horde" Faction keyword, so those Senseis do nothing for a Horde player. They do not give "Shadowlands" to such a player's Personalities because that's not a Faction keyword. Brook Cunningham, "At'tok'tuk Sensei and the Shadowlands horde Faction", 13 May 2008
