Rules Q&A
- Q: Can I use misdirection to retarget an action that doesn't specify that a target be "opposed" to one of their own cards?
I am thinking draw your blade and the Temple of Death battle action specifically
A: First of all, keep in mind that Misdirection does not retarget, it is played before targets are chosen.
Draw Your Blade specifies Enemy card and Opposing card. You may not use Misdirection to change the target to one of your opponent's cards.
Temple of Death says "Battle: Remove a Personality in any discard pile from the game: Bow a target Personality." You may play Misdirection and choose any legal target, which would be any personality at the current battle, including your opponent's personalities. Doruk Özaydın, "Misdirection and opponent's cards", 14 Mar 2008 - Q: The Temple of Death: Can you use the open action in the action phase and then the battle action during the attack phase in the same turn?
A: They're separate actions. Yes. Zen Faulkes, "Question on The Temple of Death Stronghold", 15 Oct 2007
