Rules Q&A
- Q: Is Winds of Change going to be an oversized set like Soul of the Empire and Time of the Void, seeing as how it's an "end of arc" set?
A: It will be normal-sized. This should tell you something about the story. Jeff Alexander, "post for 19 May 2003", 21 May 2003 - Q: Hell, why not make a 1KYoD format this simple:
All cards from 1KYoD, plus anything up to and including Time of the Void
A: For what it's worth, that's the card set that was considered in determining what everyone's "Experienced X" numbers should be. Jeff Alexander, "post for 20 September 2002", 21 Sep 2002 - Q: Hey all. My house is a Legacy only zone, and I had a thought. Seeing as Lost Traveler Castle does not award honor to the player during dynasty phase in the normal way, and states the rule change without action or phase text qualification, would the event Time of the Void ("Until the end of the game, players with family honor above ten do not gain honor for bringing personalities into play.") effect it? Which one wins out? Thanks!
A: Time of the Void "wins".
See Glossary, Honour: Honor gains that are contingent on the card entering play, including the rulebook Dynasty phase honor gain for aligned Personalities, mean the card has entered play "gaining Honor." Alex Jones, "Time of the Void vs. Lost Traveler Castle", 29 Jan 2010
