Hoshi is considered aligned to the Brotherhood of Shinsei when checking the Loyal restriction.
Hoshi attaches Items with "Dragon" in their titles ignoring Gold cost.
After you announce a Kiho Strategy action, once per turn, Hoshi may perform it as if he were a Monk without bowing, ignoring conditions upon its effects of it bowing him.
Repeatable Limited, w: Permanently give all your Personalities with the "Hoshi" Family Name, in and out of play, the "Dragon Clan" Clan Alignment.

Rules Q&A

• Q: This came up in a game and I wasn't sure how to rule...
  The Dragon player attempts to attach the Dragon Sword without cost to Togashi Hoshi. The Shadowlands player redirects the attachment with Muchitsujo to Rosanjin. So... a) The sword attaches to Rosanjin without cost? b) The sword returns to the Dragon player's hand because costs weren't paid? c) The Dragon player must pay the cost of 8 gold if possible as he has already announced the attempt to attach?
  A: a). Muchitsujo reacts to the attachment, not the targeting. It does not react until all costs have been paid and the Sword is already on its way to the table. Jeff Alexander, "post for 24 March 2003", 25 Mar 2003
• Q: Does Kolat Master: ignore the "will only join X Clan" trait of Matsu Nimuro, Togashi Hoshi etc.?

• Q: Sorry, my last question regarding the Ring of Earth wasn't phrased quite right let me give a better example. Player B has province strength 6. Player A assigns a 6 force unit to attack player B's province 1. Player B defends with Togashi Hoshi. Player A resolves provinces 2, 3, and 4 (both players pass, no provinces destroyed). Player A resolves province 1, player B passes. Player A uses superior tactics to move his unit to province 2. Player B has Hoshi cast Chasing Osano-Wo which gives player A's unit a 7 force bonus. Because province 2 has already been resolved player A's unit returns home bowed at the end of the attack phase. Is the Ring of Earth playable as a result and, if so, when?

• Q: I have Hoshi Masujiro from Lotus. He has been reprinted in Samurai as Togashi Masujiro with the same art and same affects but with a new family name. Are my old copies legal in a samurai deck under the ruling of older cards are acceptable but use the most recent English printing and treating the old copies and new copies as the same card for deck construction purposes (x3)
