Rules Q&A
- Q: For Togashi Hoshi and Hoshi... Is the MRP version of Togashi Hoshi a Dragon or Unaligned (but cheaper for Monks)?
A: See Rules Archive, Specific Cards, Personalities, Togashi Hoshi. Unaligned. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 26 September 2003", 27 Sep 2003 - Q: Also, the Hoshi from the Siege of Sleeping Mountain doesn't say counts as Togashi Hoshi.
A: See Rules Archive, Specific Cards, Personalities, Hoshi. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 26 September 2003", 27 Sep 2003 - Q: Oh one last thing, what is the mrp for Togashi Hoshi?
A: Which experience level? Jeff Alexander, "post for 23 September 2002", 25 Sep 2002 - Q: Does Kolat Master: ignore the "will only join X Clan" trait of Matsu Nimuro, Togashi Hoshi etc.?
A: No. See Dark Allies rulebook, Glossary, "join," page 73. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 8 July 2002", 9 Jul 2002 - Q: Sorry, my last question regarding the Ring of Earth wasn't phrased quite right let me give a better example. Player B has province strength 6. Player A assigns a 6 force unit to attack player B's province 1. Player B defends with Togashi Hoshi. Player A resolves provinces 2, 3, and 4 (both players pass, no provinces destroyed). Player A resolves province 1, player B passes. Player A uses superior tactics to move his unit to province 2. Player B has Hoshi cast Chasing Osano-Wo which gives player A's unit a 7 force bonus. Because province 2 has already been resolved player A's unit returns home bowed at the end of the attack phase. Is the Ring of Earth playable as a result and, if so, when?
A: It is not playable. The only time the Ring of Earth can be played is immediately after a battle ends, and it regards only the attacking army Force and Province strength at that battle from the beginning of the attack to that point. Jeff Alexander, "post for 6 June 2002", 7 Jun 2002 - Q: Why not just rule Shahai to be an MRP of Exp Iuchi Shahai - just like the unaligned MRP on Kuni Yori Exp and Togashi Hoshi non-exp?
A: Because I wanted to avoid MRPing ANYTHING purely for storyline reasons. Jeff Alexander, "replies to 12-13 June", 16 Jun 2001
