Rules Q&A
- Q: Can Tokiko xp target herself?
Her ability reads as follows:
"Battle/Open: Destroy Tokiko and target your dead Personality: Bring him into play in your home or at the current battlefield, paying all costs but paying 7 less Gold."
A: No.
Following the sequence for using abilities, you must choose targets before you pay costs, at which point Tokiko is not dead, and therefore cannot be targeted by her action. Ben Higgins, "Tokiko xp", 15 Jan 2013
