Rules Q&A
- Q: Personalities perform the actions on [their] items correct?
A: Yes. (See Perform.) Brook Cunningham, "Goju Zeshin and Tsi Blade", 1 Apr 2009 - Q: When Goju Zeshin assigns, and Tsi blade's reaction is used, may Zeshin move home having performed the action from Tsi Blade?
A: After Tsi Blade's action resolves, yes. Brook Cunningham, "Goju Zeshin and Tsi Blade", 1 Apr 2009 - Q: If I have a bowed personality, with Candle of Shadows attached (unbowed), and I have an unbowed personality with an Tsi Blade attached (unbowed), and I go to declare an attack and assign my infantry units.
Can I assign the personality w/Tsi Blade, react draw a card w/Tsi balde reaction, then unbow the bowed personality w/Candle of Shadows reaction and assign him since he is now unbowed also in the infantry phase?
A: No.
Infantry Manoeuvres; The Attacker chooses, from his home, any number of his units whose Personality is unbowed. He assigns these units to any battlefields in any arrangement desired.
The choice of whom to assign is made before any assignments, ie Reactions to an assignment occur after the choice is completed. Alex Jones, "Assigning Units, Tsi Blade, and Candle of Shadows", 13 Jan 2009 - Q: Hello
We have som dubts about a situation.
in porvince 1º we have defending Kakita Hideo engangig with bayushi histao + Tsi Blade + follower. In province 2º is empty
The scorpion start in the province nº4 and use histao actionn to jump to battlefield
Scorpion Clan · Samurai. Hisato can not attach Items, except Armor and Weapons. Battle: If Hisato is at a battlefield and has only one Follower or no Followers: Move him to another battlefield.
Is corect that acction??? because he didn`t have people there.
Thank you very much
A: Yes, Bayushi Hisato's player can move him to the current battlefield (Province 4's battlefield in your example) even if he has no units there. Note that Hisato's action satisfies the exceptions to both the rule of Presence and of Location:
Presence: http://rules.l5r.com/Battles#Rule_of_Presence"EXCEPTION: A player who controls no units at the current battlefield can take an Action if its costs or effects say they can move one or more of his units there."
Location: http://rules.l5r.com/Battles#Rule_of_Location"EXCEPTION: A Battle Action can target or be taken by a card in a unit at another location if its costs or effects say they can move the unit to the current battlefield." Brook Cunningham, "Hisato jump Prencence and location", 14 Mar 2008
