Rulings
- Units led by bowed Personalities do not contribute force to their army's total Force, regardless of what stat the Personality would add to the army's Force total if he or she were unbowed. [JA, 15 October 2001] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 38
- Should say, "Unit's force," not "army force." [JA, 27 September 2002] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 38
Rules Q&A
- Q: If a personality is bowed, does it still contribute chi to the army under the terrain "Tsudao's Challenge"?
A: No.
The rulebook says that no cards contribute to the total Force of a unit when the Personality is bowed. Tsudao's Challenge says they contribute their Chi instead of their Force. Well, if they're not contributing at all, it doesn't matter what stat they would have been adding. The unit's total will still be 0. Jeff Alexander, "post for 29 April 2003", 30 Apr 2003
