Rules Q&A
- Q: #2 I can target the follower with the Yumi, reduced its force from 6 to 3, and then shoot the follower with the ranged zero, react with Tsuruchi tech to raise the ranged attack to 3 and kill the follower, allowing me to shoot the personality with Nobumoto on my next action.
A: Correct, assuming Nobumoto is still here in one piece by your next action. ;) Martin Lund, "Rules for 2 May 2004", 5 May 2004 - Q: How will The Deathless work when it is attached to Tsuruchi Nobomuto experienced, and he uses his trait? There are several points of view on our local list, and they all seem to have merit.
A: Every time The Deathless's Personality gains or loses the Naval trait from other effects, The Deathless re-evaluates whether it needs to provide the trait itself. Nobumoto Exp. would gain Cavalry and lose Naval, then The Deathless becomes +0F and gives him Naval. Jeff Alexander, "rules for 26 March 2004", 29 Mar 2004 - Q: So let's say I had a Tsuruchi with 10 farmer followers who bites it against the Sepulchre deck. Does the player get to place 10 1F follower tokens?
A: No, 11: 10 non-SL Followers plus 1 non-SL Personality. Jeff Alexander, "post for 17 April 2002", 18 Apr 2002 - Q: Also, do I gain honor if I buy other Yoritomo Alliance personalities for full gold cost (i.e. Tsuruchi)?
A: Of course. Jeff Alexander, "post for 15 April 2002", 16 Apr 2002 - Q: On Tsuruchi and his Soul Of, do they both become Ranged 3s?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 1 April 2002", 2 Apr 2002 - Q: Can you take reactions with cards in play that are not at the current battlefield :
Example: I use Tsuruchi daikyu's ranged 5 attack to target and destroy Kitsune Tokoru's bear, who's defending, and my opponent Reacts with Taming the Beast to negate it's destruction.
Can that spell's reaction be used while not at the current battlefield?
A: Reactions are not bound by the Rule of Location, nor are spells as a card type by default (Battle actions on spells still are). Taming the Beast's reaction can be used from another location. Jon Palmer, "Using Reactions and locations", 20 Feb 2012 - Q: If I'm attacking with a Yoritomo Random at province 1 and with Tsuruchi Random at province 2 and I have the chance to go first on both battles (let's assume it's cause I have naval). If I resolve at province 1 and as my first battle action I attach a item on my Yoritomo peep there and chose not to make a aditional battle action. At province 2 if attach a card to my Tsuruchi peep can I now get a aditional battle action even if that were not my first battle action that attached something?
A: No. Zen Faulkes, "Eastern Hub Port and First Attachment.", 11 Sep 2007
