Rules Q&A
- Q: If I have no Presence in a current battle and want to use Iyaken's Bow Ability on an Enemy unit I can? even from home?
A: No, you need someone there, but he himself need not be. Zen Faulkes, "Tsuruchi Iyaken", 9 Apr 2005 - Q: Mantis Clan Bushi. Pirate. Naval Costs 2 less Gold if you control a Pirate Personality. Battle: Bow Iyaken: Target an unopposed Personality. Bow him. Raid Battle: If this is a Raid battle, once per battle, produce a Ranged 4 Attack.
The question I have is on his first battle ability. How is the Rule of Presence satisfied? If you are attacking, and are unopposed, then you don't want to bow yourself. If you are defending and unopposed, you don't want to bow yourself. If someone is attacking you, and they are unopposed, then you have no presence at the battlefield, so you couldn't use Iyaken's ability?
How is the Rule of Presence satisfied (for Tsuruchi Iyaken's ability)?
A: Diamond rules, pg. 80-81. You can use his ability if he is in the current battle, or if he targets a card in the current battle from outside that battlefield. Zen Faulkes, "Tsuruchi Iyaken", 25 Mar 2005
