Rules Q&A
- Q: Void dragon reads
Reaction Elemental: If a Province is destroyed when the Void Dragon is in the attacking army, the defending player must discard all cards from his or her Fate Hand
ok so here's my question, if my opponent is running Kage Sensei and puts a Kolat token on my Dragon, i attack take his province and go to discard his hand he cancels it, can i take that reaction again or has the trigger been changed, i've read the rule book backwars to forwards and cant figure it out
A: The trigger is the destruction of the Province while the Void Dragon is in the attacking army. Does anything on the Void Dragon or Kage Sensei say anything about preventing that Province from being destroyed? No. So, the trigger is still there, so everyone is still allowed to use Reactions to it getting destroyed -- including the Void Dragon's reaction, which doesn't count as having been used yet because it was canceled. Jeff Alexander, "post for 6 May 2002", 7 May 2002 - Q: Ok, I know this is nit-picking but humour me for my own knowlegde- you can't play Fall on Your Knees to the Void Dragon's ability since it doen't take place during the battle action section, right?
A: Right. Jeff Alexander, "post for 6 May 2002", 7 May 2002 - Q: Card: Void Dragon. Unaligned Creature - Shugenja - Cavalry - Unique
- Counts as a Dragon for Tengoku Acolytes (will only attach to Dragons)?
- Counts as a Dragon for Agasha Miyoshi (Costs 2 less gold if you control a Dragon, may discard her out of a province to refill it with a Dragon personality)?
A: Yes. It is a Dragon card, as per the Keyword Rule. Martin Lund, "More on Keywords vs Traits", 11 Apr 2005
