Rules Q&A
- Q: Regarding this thread: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=89320
In that case, does the reference to 'another player's action' apply to the original owner (as he is another player compared with the owner of Wannyudo before it enters the discard) or of the ninja owner (the reference to another player being examined only after it reaches the discard)?
A: Like all abilities, the text is read from the point of view of the player taking the action. Thus, "another player's action" means an action taken by any player other than the owner of Wanyudo. Alex Jones, "Wanyudo and Shadow Plays", 7 Mar 2011 - Q: If a ninja has taken my Wanyudo with Shadow Plays, and I then destroy Wanyudo, can the ninja player use the dead follower's reaction to remove a card of mine from the game?

Thanks
A: No.
Wanyudo's Reaction can only be used from the discard pile (in general), which means it can only be taken by its owner, regardless of who its former was. Alex Jones, "Wanyudo and Shadow Plays", 7 Mar 2011 - Q: (I)n every other game I've played once an action is allowed to resolve...all effects of that resolution have to complete before anything else (reactions) can be done.
