Rules Q&A
- Q: Matsu Hatsuyo Lion Clan • Samurai • Commander Battle: Bow one or more attachments in Hatsuyo's army: For each different card type (such as Follower, Item, Spell) among the attachments you bowed, you may target one enemy card without attachments. Bow all targets.
and
Ward of the Kami Armor • Kami After this Item attaches: It permanently becomes a Spell as well as an Item.
if, for example, in an all samurai Army, Matsu Hatsuyo has a follower, a Keen Blade, and Ward of the Kami attached; can the battle action be used, bowing the three aforementioned attachments, to bow three target cards (without attachments)? Or just two? Or, Does the Armor of the Kami count as the two different card types that it is? (and thus, with only the armor attached, could you bow just the Armor to bow TWO target enemy cards?
A: Ward of the Kami, while attached counts as both a spell and an item. If Ward of the Kami is in Matsu Hatsuyo's army and you bow it for the cost of her action, you may target and bow two enemy cards without attachments. If you bow the follower and Ward of the Kami, you may target and bow 3 different cards without attachments.
